Her story

From the floor of the classroom to the plan on the page.

Yetiem did not arrive at behavior analysis through a textbook. She started in 2017 as a volunteer and then an assistant in special education, sitting with children who had autism, ADHD, and Down syndrome, and learning what actually helps a child get through a hard morning.

She became a Registered Behavior Technician in 2018 and spent three years running treatment plans one session at a time: teaching skills step by step, taking the data honestly, and telling supervisors when something was not working. That is the unglamorous part of this field, and it is where she learned to read a child.

In 2021, after a master's degree in special education and applied behavior analysis, she became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She has since added a master's in speech and language pathologies and certification as a Positive Discipline educator, because the families she works with rarely have just one thing going on.

She opened this practice in Doral to do the work the way she thinks it should be done: assess carefully before promising anything, explain the plan in language a parent can use, and let the child's own data decide what happens next.

The path here

Nine years, one direction.

  1. 2017

    Started in special education

Began working directly with children with autism, ADHD, and Down syndrome, supporting students with behavior difficulties in a school setting.

  2. 2018

    Registered Behavior Technician

Certified as an RBT and spent three years delivering treatment plans one-to-one, collecting data, and supporting families day to day.

  3. 2021

    Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Earned a master's in special education and applied behavior analysis, and became a BCBA. Moved from delivering plans to writing them.

  4. 2024

    Professional Healthcare & Behavioral Services

Opened the Doral practice, built around careful assessment, plain explanations, and staying with a family long enough for the work to matter.

English and Spanish, properly

Yetiem works with families in both languages. That means the assessment, the plan, the goals, and the progress updates all come to you in the language you think in, not translated at the door.

For families across Doral and Miami-Dade, that is often the difference between nodding along and genuinely understanding what is happening with your child.
